Elon Musk's charity platform, the Musk Foundation, has come under some scrutiny from The New York Times. Set up in 2002, the foundation's website has a very plain looking design that is devoid of graphics. In 2002, the billionaire started his charity platform, the Musk Foundation, with his brother, Kimbal. A Bloomberg report revealed Monday that he's backed that up with a $10 million donation to a fertility and population research project. The letter detailed potential risks to society and civilization by human-competitive AI systems in the form of economic and political disruptions, and called on developers to work with policymakers on governance and regulatory authorities. Rather than pause research, she said, AI researchers should be subjected to greater transparency requirements. "If you do AI research, you should be very transparent about how you do it."
